What is Drywall?
Drywall (gypsum board) is a paper-faced building material with a gypsum core, used on wall and ceiling surfaces. It is widely used in partition walls, wall lining and ceiling cladding.
What is a Suspended Ceiling?
A suspended ceiling is a general ceiling solution mounted on a carrier profile system hung from the main ceiling. Drywall can be used as the material in this system, as can acoustic panels, metal panels, or decorative wood-look panels.
So Which One Should I Choose?
This isn't actually an "either/or" choice. What you need to decide is what function you want your ceiling to serve:
- Want a flat, economical surface? → Drywall suspended ceiling
- Is acoustic comfort a priority? → Suspended ceiling with acoustic panels
- Want brand identity / aesthetic emphasis? → Decorative suspended ceiling
